Hiking along Albania’s coast is a unique experience. The trail climbs from the sea up to over 1,400 metres, mixing easy shepherd paths with wild, open ground. PEAKS OF THE BALKANS

Day 1: Tirana to Theth Valley
Our guides will meet you at Mother Teresa International Airport and take you to Theth Valley.
Known as the “last paradise of Europe”, Theth sits deep in the Shala Valley, surrounded by the striking Albanian Alps. It’s full of natural beauty and cultural history, making it one of Albania’s most special places for hikers. While it’s remote, especially in winter, you can reach it all year with 4WD vehicles. Day 2: Theth to Valbona Valley
The hike goes from Theth (850 m) up to Valbona Pass (1,812 m) along an old mule trail. This classic route is famous for its amazing views.

Day 3: Valbona to Cerem
We hike to the remote village of Cerem, passing between the tall peaks of Kollata and Rosi. Northern Albania offers a chance to see these untouched landscapes up close.

Day 4: Cerem to Dobërdol
The hike The trail takes you to Dobërdol, a remote shepherds’ settlement. This part is a favourite for hiking fans. You’ll pass near the Montenegrin border, going through Balqin and the protected Gashi Valley. Distance: 21 km

Day 5: Dobërdol to Milishevc
The hike continues to Milishevc in Kosovo, a growing spot for mountain tourism and a memorable part of the journey through Albania and the Balkans. light of this stage is reaching the tri-border point where Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro converge.

Day 6: Milishevc to Reka e Allagës
The day starts with a climb to Lumbardhi Ridge, where you’ll get wide views of the mountains all around.
The trail then heads toward Rugova Gorge, and after that, you’ll take a 4×4 ride to the guesthouse. Distance: 15 km
- Elevation gain: 932 m
- Peak: Guri i Kuq (2,512 m). This is a top spot for hikers looking for the best of Albania’s trails.
Da* 7: Reka e Allagës to Kuçishtë
The hike proceeds toward Hajla. The trail leads to Hajla Peak, where you’ll enjoy amazing 360-degree views over Albania and Montenegro. Cross-border hikes like this add to the adventure in Albania. assess through villages before continuing by vehicle to Kuçishtë.

Day 8: Kuçishtë to Babino Polje (Montenegro)
This part of the journey is a long hike across the border, taking you through beautiful mountains with plenty of streams and glacial lakes.

Day 9: Babino Polje to Hrid Lake to Plav
You’ll pass the beautiful Hrid Lake before heading down into the town of Plav.

Day 10: Plav to Bor Peak to Vusanje
The day starts in Plav (968 m), climbs up to Bor Peak (2,106 m), and then goes down to Vusanje village.

Day 11: Vusanje to Theth
This stage includes a scenic hike back into Albania through the rugged Accursed Mountains. Exploring these famous mountains is a must for any trekking trip in Albania.
On the way, you’ll see old bunkers and military posts from the communist era before arriving in Theth.
Day 12: Theth to Tirana
The trip ends back in Tirana, where you’ll stay in a city hotel.
You’ll have time to explore Tirana—walk the main boulevards, visit the National Museum, and check out the lively Blloku district, which was once off-limits but is now a busy social spot. After your hiking adventure, Tirana is a great way to experience a different side of Albania.
